God, Bucky’s relationship with his dad kills me. This is what makes all the difference in his life. This is the very reason Bucky is a good person and not bad. His dad is so understanding. And you later find out that he was the same way as a kid too.
That’s why his last words to Buck didn’t fuck up his life and start him down the wrong path. Because his dad was a good, understanding man who deeply cared for his kids. Bucky doesn’t hold resentment over it because he knows that he would’ve made his father proud with what he did with his life.
Even in spite of what he was made to do as the Winter Soldier. His dad would’ve been besides himself to see Bucky become Captain America.
